Will I have to modify my plumbing to install the Emerge™ Shower Column?

There is no need to modify the plumbing behind the wall to install the Emerge Shower Column. Simply remove your existing shower arm, fit the top of the shower column over the water outlet, and screw the bottom of the column into the shower wall.

Do I need to purchase a shower head and hand shower separately?

Yes. To allow you to have a customized shower experience, the shower column ONLY comes with a 60-82” stretchable metal shower hose and does not include the shower head and hand shower. You may select any shower head or hand shower to complete your space.

What is the flow rate of the Emerge Shower Column?

The flow rate will vary depending on which shower head and hand shower are paired with the shower column. If you live in an area with water restriction legislations, a flow restrictor can be purchased to regulate the flow of the entire shower column.

What if my shower surround is too short to mount both the top and the bottom of the Emerge Shower Column to it?

The bottom mounting bracket of the shower column allows for 2” of variability from the top of the shower column, allowing for installation on most tub surrounds.

Is the Emerge Shower Column a grab bar?

No. The shower column is not ADA rated and should not be used as a grab bar.

Does the Emerge Shower Column replace my existing shower valve?

No. The shower column only replaces the existing shower head. The valve is still needed to turn the water on and off.

Will the Emerge Shower Column work with a tub spout?

Yes. When you divert the water from the tub spout, it will go to the entire shower column, similarly to how water would divert to a standard shower head/hand shower combo.

Can I run the shower head and hand shower at the same time?

Yes. A 3-way diverter located at the base of the shower column allows for single or shared operation of the shower head and hand shower.
