No, the ShieldSpray feature is in addition to the current stream and aerated sprays. With ShieldSpray the wands are now 3-function wands.

How do I activate ShieldSpray mode?
After pulling down the faucet, simply press and hold the top button on the spray wand to activate ShieldSpray. ShieldSpray is not designed to be active while the faucet is docked.

Is ShieldSpray offered on bar/prep models?
No, ShieldSpray is only offered on kitchen pull-down models.

Can the ShieldSpray wands be retrofitted onto an existing faucet?
Yes. All of the technology is in the wand, so as soon as ShieldSpray technology is added to a collection, the new wands can be retrofitted onto older models within that same collection.
